How they met…..
We met on a cruise to the Caribbean, I was on a “singles” cruise with my best friend and he was with his family. A guy Andy had met on the cruise ended up introducing us.
The Venue….
We picked Edgewood because of its scenery, reasonable cost, and it’s close to Reno, where Andy grew up. He grew up skiing/boarding in Tahoe and it has always had a special place in his heart. I also love Tahoe, and thought everyone at the Edgewood was extremely nice and accomodating.
The Bridal Party….
As far as the bridal party, we wanted to keep it simple. I’m very close to my twin (my only sibling) and Andy wanted to have his dad. We wrote our own ceremony and vows, so decided to keep it in the family (my brother in law performed the ceremony).
The Colors….
As far as colors, since it was around XMas, I loved the cranberry idea with candles, and I love the color blue, so I incorporated the blue into our invitations and programs.
The Jewerly….
For jewelry, I had my grandmother’s crystal and sterling bracelet, which I love and is very simple. Also, a sapphire ring I bought many years ago for the blue and my twin’s hair pins which she wore at her wedding for my borrowed.
