After meeting Cherae & Derrick, I knew I wanted to photograph their wedding. They are an adorable couple!
Here are a few words from the bride on how Derrick proposed.
“A year and half later, Derrick tells me he has a surprise for me. I figured he was trying to cheer me up because I had such a rough week. We woke up in the dark early morning hours of September 14th and Derrick drove us to my surprise. We arrived at the Tahoe Keys Marina and I was so thrilled to find out we were going up in a hot air balloon over Lake Tahoe. I had always wanted to do this and the fact that it was over my favorite place was just incredible and by far the best surprise ever….so I thought. After relaxing on the boat, and watching the sunrise it was finally our turn to go up in the balloon with our 10 new friends we had just met. 4,000 feet up in the air, Derrick turned me around to face him and told me how much he loved me and asked me to marry him. This was undoubtedly the best surprise, as I couldn’t dream of spending my life with anyone else. Can’t wait for our wedding August 18, 2012 at Lake Tahoe.”
