Each Year starting in 2010 Indigo Photography has partnered with Zawadisha and has donated the proceeds of a selected number of photo sessions to this amazing cause.
The mission of the Zawadisha Fund is to empower and improve the lives of women and children in Kenya. Our vision is a world where women and children thrive in healthy, sustainable communities.
Zawadisha is a Kiswahili word meaning “to give a gift.” Our supporters give the gift of financial capital—capital that changes the lives of women and children through education and micro-loans.
- Tuinuane Project: We provide low interest micro-loans to women, allowing them to begin and sustain small business ventures that significantly change their standard of living.
- Dolphin Anti-Rape & AIDS Control Outreach: We partner with this grassroots, revolutionary NGO which has provided self-defense and HIV prevention workshops to more than 250,000 women and children in Kenya.
Our beneficiaries give the gift of hope and opportunity.
Through them we are inspired by the power of individuals, community, and change.
